Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled in Witchwood, a single-player Android game, and through its optional advertising and purchases.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Developer and contact
Witchwood is the game described in this policy. For questions, privacy enquiries and requests relating to your information, contact duane.marsh20@gmail.com.
2. Gameplay progress stored on your device
Witchwood is designed to store ordinary game progress locally on your device, such as coins, potions, upgrades, home decorations, magical animals and other game state. This local information does not require a separate Witchwood account. Removing or clearing app data may remove locally stored progress. Device backup or cloud-restoration behaviour may vary by device and game version.
3. Advertising
Where rewarded advertising is available, Witchwood uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) to provide optional video adverts. Google's advertising technology may collect or process information including IP-address-derived approximate location, ad/device identifiers, ad and app interactions and diagnostic or performance information. The exact data processed can depend on device settings, consent choices, region and the SDK version used.
Information about Google's data practices is available in Google's Privacy Policy and its AdMob privacy guidance. Where required, Witchwood presents advertising privacy or consent choices.
4. In-app purchases
Optional digital purchases, such as cosmetic items or harvest conveniences where available, are processed through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Witchwood may receive purchase-related status or transaction identifiers needed to grant, validate and restore purchased content. Witchwood does not ask players to enter payment-card details directly into the game.
5. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the address and information you choose to send, which we use to respond to your request and resolve issues. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for support.
6. How information is used and disclosed
Information handled through the game and service providers may be used to provide game functionality, fulfil and restore purchases, deliver optional adverts, understand technical performance, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Relevant data may be processed by Google or other providers actually integrated in a release. We do not sell players' local game-save files.
7. Retention, security and choices
Locally stored game progress generally remains on your device until app data is deleted or the game removes it. Retention of advertising, billing and related information by Google is governed by Google's policies and applicable settings. We take reasonable steps to protect information within our control, but no method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free.
You can control optional ad experiences and applicable consent choices through the options presented in the game or device. Android settings may also allow you to reset or limit advertising identifiers. Removing game data may remove local progress; uninstalling does not necessarily erase records held by Google for purchases or advertising.
8. Your rights and deletion requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal data, including access, correction, objection or erasure. You can send a request to duane.marsh20@gmail.com. We will review requests relating to data within our control and explain where requests must instead be handled directly through Google or another service provider. To remove game progress stored on your phone, you may be able to clear the app's data through Android settings; doing so can permanently delete your progress.
9. Children and age suitability
Witchwood's intended audience and applicable age rating are described in its Google Play listing. We apply any additional child-related safeguards required by the distribution and advertising policies that apply to the version of the game offered in your region.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when game features, service providers or legal requirements change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised last-updated date.
